Chocolate Shipping Information


Shipping options and prices are displayed at checkout, including Standard, UPS 2-Day and UPS Next Day delivery. We cannot guarantee Monday delivery, as weather conditions prevent us from shipping over the weekend. Please note that order processing time may be extended during holiday time periods such as Christmas (Nov-Dec) and Valentine’s (Feb).



Shipping Options

Compartés offers Standard, UPS 2-Day, and UPS Next Day shipping options, displayed and selectable at checkout. Order cut-off is at 12 Noon PST, with next business day processing for orders placed after this time. Deliveries generally occur Monday through Friday. Note: Processing times may be extended during holiday peak periods, November-December, February (Valentines), April (Easter), etc.



No Melt Shipping Guarantee

Hot weather? Don't worry, we offer a No Melt Guarantee. Our team monitors the temperatures where your package is being delivered, and we will pack your order with ice when necessary to ensure your chocolates arrive in perfect condition, no matter the weather. Under our No Melt Guarantee, orders shipped to hot weather destinations are packed with ice when needed, applicable to UPS options. In some cases, a warm weather surcharge may be necessary, if so, we will reach out to you and ask that you respond promptly so your shipment is not delayed, or we may at our discretion hold an order until weather permits us to ship it out. If an item qualifies for our no melt guarantee, Compartes will replace the items for free and reship them for you at no cost to make sure they arrive unmelted. Warm Weather Guarantee only applies to UPS Shipping, UPS 2-Day, UPS Next Day. 


Gift Messages 

Include your gift message or gift note in the shopping cart area labeled "Add Gift Message" to ensure your recipient will know who sent them the gift. Unless you include a name in the gift note, the recipient will not know who sent the gift. Invoices or receipts with pricing are never included in shipments.


Order Tracking

When you place an order on our website, tracking is available for all orders which you will receive automatically once your order has been processed.



UPS Shipping

UPS is our preferred shipping method, offering a 1-3 day delivery period in the USA post-processing. Only UPS Next Day Air guarantees delivery timeframes as UPS has suspended service guarantees on all service besides Next Day.



Local Pickup and Local Messenger Delivery

For Los Angeles area customers, in-store pickup is available at our Los Angeles location Monday to Thursday, 10 am to 6 pm. As chocolates are made fresh to order, pickup orders are non-cancellable. We also offer same-day delivery courier services within the LA area, which can be arranged by contacting us at +1 (310) 826-3380.



Shipping Schedule

Our primary shipping days are Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. This is to prevent the chocolates from melting in transit or a shipping facility that is not temperature controlled.By not shipping over weekends, we minimize the risk of the chocolates melting during transit or in non-temperature controlled shipping facilities. We may at our discretion, depending upon the weather conditions, choose not to ship out orders due to weather concerns. It is in our best interest for you to receive our delicious award-winning chocolates in optimum condition. Adjustments to this schedule may be made based on weather conditions to ensure product quality. *During busy holiday periods and cooler months (including November-December, February, March), we try our best to ship orders every day of the week. 



General Shipping Details

We generally do not ship to PO Boxes, APO & FPO locations, please provide an alternate address. Incorrectly entered addresses may incur additional costs, or a need of a reshipment of the items, and are the sole responsibility of the customer. Please make sure the shipping address you provide is correct and complete. We do not guarantee Monday deliveries for any service as weather conditions prevent us from shipping over the weekend. We rely on 3rd party carriers (such as UPS and FedEx) to deliver your orders. Once your order has been handed over to the shipping carrier, any delays are entirely out of our control. Delays may be caused by weather, air traffic, mechanical issues, incorrect delivery address or other factors. For international shipments, Compartés is not responsible for added customs fees, duties, taxes, tariffs or delays. *We may need to hold orders and wait to ship if the destination exceeds 85 degrees on 2Day shipping or over 90 degrees on Next Day orders, we apologize but want to ensure chocolate is received in optimal condition. 



Shipping Promos and Offers

Shipping promos/specials applicable for Continental USA orders only. Free Shipping promotion applies to orders delivering within the USA only after spending the minimum amount shown on website, sending to only one address per minimum spend amount shown on homepage. Must select free shipping at checkout to qualify.  * Hot states may not qualify for free shipping, restrictions apply.

We make our very best effort to ensure that every order goes out within 1-3 business days as our chocolates are handmade fresh to order.
