Compartés has been handmade in Los Angeles since 1950, more than seventy five years of small batches and award winning chocolate. The packaging is designed with the same care, so even a single bar arrives looking like a gift.
Which chocolate should I send if I don't know their taste?
A signature truffle box is the easiest place to start, since it arrives as an assortment rather than one flavor. If they are more of a bar person, a bar gift set does the same. Add a personal message at checkout, and prices are never included in the package.
What if my order melts in transit?
Every order travels under our No Melt Guarantee, so if it arrives melted we replace and reship it. It rarely comes to that: we pack with ice, watch the weather, and in warm conditions ship early in the week so nothing sits in transit over the weekend.
Is shipping free?
Shipping is free on Continental US orders over $129. We also ship worldwide year round on expedited service, packed with ice, and the rate shows in your cart at checkout.
Where is Compartés made, and can I collect in person?
Everything is handmade in Los Angeles, at 5735 West Adams Blvd. Local pickup runs Monday to Thursday, 10am to 6pm, and same-day courier within LA can be arranged by calling (310) 826-3380.
